Germany: public calls transport strike

Germany is paralyzed: the public sector calls a transport strike to demand a salary increase of 500 euros
The 24-hour warning strike called for Monday by the service sector union Ver.di and the EVG railway paralyzed passenger transport in much of Germany, both on long- and medium-distance trains and at major airports.
Regional and commuter railways joined the strike in several federal states, as did workers in ports and locks of maritime transport and urban transport in seven of the country's 16 states.
